The Naked Heart by Peter Gay
Neither this book nor the following by Peter Gay deal solely with DC, but cover it slightly. Though it only spans a few pages, in this book Mr. Gay gives a wonderful assessment of why Agnes acts the way she does, dispelling the myths that she is just an angelic Mary Sue but a real human. You must read this!


Savage Reprisals by Peter Gay
The content of this book is similar to the above, but adds a bit more information and compares Agnes to the Bleak House heroine Esther Summerson.
